More Magnolia Madness!!

A lovely order of new markers arrived this week from the lovely Sammi at "Mad for Markers" and I just had to play - but I have to say, choosing colours is so much harder.... when you have heaps more to chose from LOL!! - but I managed... and this is what I created.

Tilda with 3 Flowers - stamp from the Hoppy Easter Collection 2010 - Thankyou Sentiment is from Stampin' Up' "Short & Sweet" Collection - Creative Memories & Prima paper flowers - Lace Adhesive and Lilac Pearls.

CrossStitched Tilda from the "So Heavenly, Travel & School Collection 2008" - love the way this card turned out - simple but classy!

Midsummer Tilda from the Fairytale Collection and Open Gate Stamp from the Magnolia Hoppy Easter Collection 2010 - a couple of little mistakes in this card sshhhh "don't tell anyone" ;)

I know this Tilda is from the Fairytale Collection but I'll need to check up on her name! :) - Spring Fence Stamp from the Magnolia "Hoppy Easter Collection 2010" - a little silver glitter used in her wings - I experimented with lots of colour here and even surprised myself with the results!!

CrossStitched Tilda from the "So Heavenly, Travel & School Collection 2008" - this time in Purple & Greens - Copics used V06, V15, V17 - Skin Tones - E00, E51, E21 and a touch of R20 for the cheeks..with three little spots of white added with a gel pen.

Well today I have to tidy up my Happy Scrapping Room so I can play some more - stay tuned!!

Magnolia & Marker Madness !!

I haven't updated my blog for quite awhile - but I have been busy creating all sorts of things - I've taken up quilting, helped my niece with a special scrapbooking project and rediscovered the fun of cardmaking. Yes, my Copic Makers have been dusted off and placed back in a "high profile" position on the desk in my "happy room".... especially now that I have discovered Magnolia Stamps!! - I just love colouring in these cute images - these rubber stamps are designed in Sweden and are simply adorable! Here is a sample of the first cards I made with them.

This is "Pink Tilda with Heart" from the Pink Collection 2008 - The little wooden bench in this card is also a Magnolia stamp - love how the images can be seated!

A Happy Hello to 'brighten' your day!
"Tilda with 3 Flowers" from the Hoppy Easter Collection 2010

Japanese Tilda from the Bon Vogage Collection

This stamp is "Midsummer Tilda" from the FairyTale Collection - the sentiment is from a Stampin' Up set I've had in my collection for sometime!!

This stamp is Christmas Party Tilda from the So Jolly Collection '09 - the "Merry Christmas" stamp is one I have in my collection but very rarely used - maybe that might change this year!!??! The background has been sponged with Ruby Red ink from Stampin' Up and some clear Kindy Glitter.

Our House

Angel Hartline Designs has just released a new digital kit called 'Our House' it is a collaboration with JW-DigiScraps and is now available at Digital Scrapbooking Studio. It is so full of cheerful colour, the sweetest embellishments and a huge assortment of word art and strips - perfect not only celebrating the love the surrounds your home, but so many other special moments in your life too.

This layout is my home - looking a little dreary after our long cold and wet winter...the garden is a little sad too! - but hey! it doesn't look all that bad when you combine it with this fun kit..... and that gorgeous tree embellishment.

....and this layout is a photo taken 3 years ago of those I hold near & dear - but it is a favourite!! and now I going to frame this layout and hang on the wall in my happy room so I can enjoy it always.

and what about this?? - blue & brown make a lovely serene photo combination don't you think??

I'm looking forward to playing a little more with this kit - it is so much fun!!

New Layouts to Share

I am going to be heading off to "sunny" Queensland in a few days - without my computer and no internet connection - will I survive???? - I'm going to have to.... but it is going to be very tough!!!!! Before I sign off for a few days I wanted to share a couple of new layouts with you...they were created using kits by some of the wonderful designers you will find over at For The Luv of Art - www.fortheluvofart.com

This sweet little mini kit called "Snuggle Time" was designed by Dana Miron and is just perfect for those baby boys in your life ...

this little cherub is the son of my daughter's friend...he wasn't to sure of me and my camera - all the same how cute is he??? and this kit??

The other kit I wanted to share with you is called "Victorian Veranada" designed by Theresa Hernandez - I love the "olde world" charm of this kit and it has the most gorgeous pink flowers in it!! - did you know I love pink??? LOL!!

...and of course it was perfect to use with my collection of Heritage photos - this is the only known photo of my Great Great Grandmother - so it needed a special page.

A Little Card Making

....well I am slowly on the mend - I'm heading into my 4th week of this flu and really and truly that is enough!!! - I've still managed some playtime - nothing big but very enjoyable thanks to my Sweet Friend Janet Carr of Little Feet Digital Designs and her brand new kit "Dear Sweet Friend". This kit is adorable and it inspired me to do a little hybrid card making. I had so much fun.... and when I made the "Friends" card it took me back to my childhood it was like cutting out paper dolls all over again!!!....I think I was always destined for paper and scissors :)

....this photo shows off the detail - I created these cards by printing off multiple 4 x 6 copies of each design - then I freehand cut around the main embellishments and adhered back over the top with some foam adhesive - just to give the cards a little
3D effect.

I really LOVE this kit...It has some wonderful "pink" touches ( just for me LOL!! ) but so many cute embellishments the stitched heart border and the little clothes line just for starters. I can't wait until I have some time to create some layouts with it....here is a sneak peak of the kit...and don't forget to pop on over to fortheluvofart.com where you can purchase it for yourself.

A Little Fantasy Land

For such a time I have wanted to create a Fantasy layout with my photos.....I have seen so many lovely pages done by other designers and every time I look at them they transport me back to my childhood. They look like they should belong inside the cover of an Enid Blyton book.... amongst her fairy and elf characters. So this weekend I drew on those childhood memories and my imagination and entered the world of fantasy - and I had so much FUN!!

This is my kitty who looks like a giant in a miniature garden - this was created with a collection of goodies from the beautiful Digital Kits from Janet Carr's Little Feet Digital Designs...kits used - "King of My Heart", "Olivia's Friend", "God Bless America", "Where I Long to Be - Calm of the Water" and "The Bunny Trail"

This layout was created with Creative Memories Disney Fairy Additions kit...and a beautiful quote from the Black and White Digital Kit.
